Methodology

The teaching practices in mathematics and German courses will be analyzed through a multi-perspective and comparative approach, using standardized questionnaires for students and teachers as well as standardized classroom observations at both the comprehensive (AHS) and vocational (BHS) school systems. In this manner, consistencies and discrepancies in students' and teachers' perceptions of classroom instruction and school life can be compared with the results of classroom observations.
